You may display up to seventeen
photos on your Personal Web Page. You don't
upload the images to our server; you simply provide
links to your photos located elsewhere on the
internet using the instructions below. Each image on your Personal
Web Page will be 130 pixels wide, and when a visitor
clicks on the image it will appear full size. If
your photos are of good quality, they should work
fine of our site.
If you currently maintain a web site, you most
likely have photos there. Simply provide us with the
URLs (web address) of the photos, such as:
Each individual image has its own URL. This URL
should end in .jpg or .gif, depending on the type of
image. Be sure the URLs you supply are photo
URLs, not web page URLs! We must have the
actual image addresses, such as the example
above. If the URLs you supply only point to a web
page which contains your photos (web page addresses
typically end in .html or .htm.) visitors to your
Personal Web Page on our site will not see your
photos.
If you currently have a website with photos on
it, you may get the URLs directly from your site. Go
to your website (or any website containing
your photos) and follow these instructions:
- Netscape Navigator: simply
right-click on the photo, and choose "Copy
Image Location." Then paste the URL
into our form.
- Internet Explorer: right-click on
the image and choose "Properties." The
Image URL (web address) is displayed in the tab
that appears. Copy the address and
paste it in our form.
If your Internet Service Provider offers you free
web space, you can also upload photos there, and
provide the URLs similar to the above.
Your photos will be 130 pixels in width
when they appear on our site. To assure optimum
quality, please edit your images if necessary to
best fit this size format.
